Oh, my little acorn.

Biology homework answers from Aislinn, my 14-year-old daughter. She received full credit for each one.

1. Why is mitosis important?

DNA replication is made possible by mitosis and various other sponsors like the cell clinic and the DNA reps.

2. Predict what would happen if an individual had faulty spindle fibers.

A cell could lose a chromosome or get stuck at metaphase and corrupt the whole system and slow the blood flow which would inevitably turn the owner of the faulty cell into a zombie, which would bring about the zombie apocalypse and the end of the world.

3. [Diagram] Are the cells depicted plant or animal cells? Explain your answer.

They are animal cells. They smell like animal cells and have the animal cell parts, centrioles and cleavage.

I used to worry about Aislinn a little bit. And by "a little bit," I mean a lot. I don't worry anymore.
