Back to basics.
Tuesday, August 24, 2010 at 7:07AM I've been pondering the purpose of this site pretty heavily over the past few weeks. I toyed with the notion of shutting it down. Then I decided perhaps what I really needed was a sharper focus. When I began this little experiment, I had one goal in mind: Promote my writing.
Not bad, as goals go, but not targeted enough. I thought that my writing--any writing--would do that. But I've meandered way off the path, and I'm irritated with myself. I almost put my own name on my "List of meh." Plus, it's almost fall and that seems to be when I lose my mind a little bit each year. I could make the argument that everything I've written here is related to character and plot development. But I have to get to work, and I'm running late.
So, from now on, nothing but writing on here. Writing about writing. We'll see how it goes. I've reopened the workshop, including the few chapters of Brave Front that I had posted a while back. (That sound you hear is Stasa, jumping up and down and clapping her hands. You have to love Stasa; she's such a good friend.)
This is entry 199. It would have been so much cooler to make it entry 200, but whatever.
