Someone else's writing, cited of course.

An excerpt from a book I probably won't read, but I sure enjoyed this little taste. I especially like the following:

Publicity means that actions are judged by reputations and not the other way about.

Christopher Hitchens, in his memoir Hitch-22.

Seriously. Has that ever been expressed any better? I'm sharing this excerpt with you because it's about the impact of drink on the creative process, and I've toyed with that a few times on this site, here, here and (where is that other one...ah-ha!) here.

He offers up some good advice at the end, too. I thought it was a pretty good post for a Monday morning, anyway.
