Things that make me shake my head.

I saw the most preposterous thing on my way home yesterday. A "Grand Opening" sign bedecking the facade of a new home fitness equipment store.

Really?

First thought: What kind of person would open such a specialized retail establishment in this economy? (In any economy, for that matter.)

Second thought: What kind of financial institution would pony up the money for someone to open such a specialized retail establishment in this economy?

This place is flanked by two sporting-goods stores and three Wal-Marts, all within a five-mile radius.

Really?
