Two physicians.

It's a funny thing about this time of year that people become both friendlier and shorter of fuse. Sometimes the very person who allowed five cars to get in front of her on the tollway in the morning is the one who unleashes a series of f-bombs, machine-gun-style, at a driver who fails to yield right-of-way that same afternoon.

Could it be that forced generosity--even forced from within--ultimately results in a hair trigger on one's temper?

I'm inclined to say it does. It's my theory, after all. Why wouldn't I support it? That would be yet another paradox*.

*Two physicians. Yes, it's awful. But it made me giggle.
