A swift crack from the reality stick.
Sunday, January 24, 2010 at 12:12PM It never occurred to me until recently that I might "publish" a book online. And, as you may recall, I was uncertain as to the wisdom of this idea.
(I still am.)
However, the exercise has revealed something about my writing, at least from an organizational perspective. This whole day-by-day structure is cool, sure, but it makes for some really long chapters, once my story gets rolling. At least, in Brave Front, it has.
That said, I've broken the latest chapter into sections, to make it easier on the eyes in an online format. Funny how the medium can influence the content. (I'll be stewing over that all night, I assure you.)
In other news, it's been a week filled with enlightenment. And, as we all know, that can be painful and difficult. Annnndddd, as I hope we all know, sometimes it's the painful and difficult experiences that lead to some really cool stuff.
What am I talking about? Oh, publishing, of course. Lesson learned: Get an agent. Follow their rules. Don't be all "mavericky" and think they will appreciate it. They don't.
It's all good.
