It's out there.

My mom googled me yesterday. (I know; moms, right?) I'm not sure why, given the fact that she and my dad are on vacation right now. But it's very sweet. Thanks, Mom.

She found me, too, in a couple of different places. Looks like that press release I sent to local media actually landed.

This a site for residents of The Woodlands. It's cool, except that I've never heard of it myself, so I wonder who has. Not because I know everything, but because I was actively seeking ways to promote myself and didn't stumble across this one.

It seems I've been tweeted, too. And I didn't even know. Kind of a bummer; I would like to have been aware of my first time.

While we're on the subject, the big press release is almost ready to go. I'm supposed to come up with a quote about why I chose to write about corporate disaster. So many things to say about that. Will I pick one that doesn't alienate my potential readers, or will I just be a pill? (You can see where this is going, can't you?)

And I'm working on a book signing in The Woodlands. Someplace fun and different. More on that front soon, as well.

As for now, it's back to the trenches. These books don't write themselves, you know. (Actually, at some point they do. Which is both beautiful and creepy.)
