And...a typo.

My husband found it. The funny part is that he has never read the book. I used to ask him to read it, while I was still working on it, and he would say, "That's okay." Or something like that. He tends to read nonfiction and avoids novels. I can respect that. Or at least, I don't take it personally. Now, if he were huddled up every weekend with Dan Brown or Nora Ephron, I might take offense.

But he isn't.

Anyway, he asked to read it a couple of weeks back when he was on his way out of town. And I said, "Well, no. It's in production now. You might as well wait."

He looked at me kind of funny.

So, Friday night, we're out and about (with the book, of course), and I was showing it to someone, when Rodney takes it and flips it open to a random page. Page 84, in fact. And he finds a typo that everyone else had missed.

It was pretty sweet, really. I like that he found it.

And now we get to fix it, since we're changing the type size and gutter. Although Rebecca tells me that, regardless of how many times it is proofed, there will be two errors.

I'm trying not to think about that.
