We have shipment!
Monday, August 24, 2009 at 6:08AM According to the online tracking system located deep within the printer's Web site (well, that and the e-mail that I received a short while ago), 250 copies of WHOSS have officially shipped.
And yet...UPS does not recognize the tracking numbers. I am going to assume this means the boxes are packed and in the warehouse and simply have not yet been entered into UPS's own system. But they will be! Soon. I can feel it.
The boxes are coming from Tennessee, which feels like about a three- or four-day trip to me. For a bunch of boxes, anyway. I would hope that I could make it in a day, and in fact I know that I could. As long as someone else is driving. I get sleepy. Several years ago, Rodney and I made it to Chattanooga in one day, although it was rough. The trip home was split into two legs, if memory serves--the kids were with us.
The most interesting part about that visit was that two different people in Chattanooga mistook Rodney for someone named Bill. Still makes me laugh.
Oh, I really shouldn't write before coffee, or 7 a.m. (whichever comes second). Let's keep our fingers crossed for a Friday delivery, so I can spend my weekend packing and shipping.

I did Houston to Chattanooga in one day driving a U-Haul a few years ago. The endless trees and speed governor made for a long, long day.
