How best to spin this?
Sunday, August 2, 2009 at 2:27PM In the most positive way, of course. Well, then:
Great news, everyone! Due to overwhelming response to the introductory offer of What Happened on Smith Street at an insanely low price of $12.95 per copy (plus shipping), I have decided to extend this offer.
For how long, you ask?
Well--and I assure you this is pure happenstance--for just about as long as it takes us to address the nit-picky, template-related issues that have sprung up out of nowhere. Nowhere, I tell you!
I've heard it put that the devil is in the details, and I guess this could be considered a detail, but I will go one step farther and say that the devil truly resides in the things we don't know that we don't know.
You heard me.
It seems there were some requirements with the template that we did not anticipate. This would be related to the fact that we only just determined how many pages long What Happened on Smith Street would actually be. And until one knows page count, one cannot determine spine width. And until one can determine spine width, one cannot generate a cover template. And until one generates a cover template, one cannot know that certain elements of said template are as immovable as the 18-wheeler that stalls in front of you in rush hour traffic the day you are presenting a groundbreaking new concept to your boss.
So, yes, we are slightly delayed. It happens.
If you have already ordered a copy, bless you, and please accept my apologies for what should be no more than a one- or two-day delay in delivery. If you have not ordered a copy, well, what are you waiting for? Carpe diem, already!
The Process,
WHOSS
